Designed by noted architect Donald Wexler and built by the Alexander Construction Company, the entire 2191 square foot home was stunningly remodeled in 2003.
The home is our much loved personal residence, not an investment property. It is tucked away on a quiet residential street in the very nice Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort neighborhood in South Palm Springs. Its perfect location is a convenient 5 mile/8 minute drive to the ?village? of downtown Palm Springs, with its abundant dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities. It?s also just a few minutes away from a miniature golf course and Knott?s Water Park. It?s walking distance to Trader Joe?s, Von?s supermarket, restaurants, and good hiking trails. Golfers are in luck because the public golf course lies just the other side of the hedge.
The large grassy backyard features a super-sized sparkling blue pool, a gas BBQ grill and rotisserie, an above ground 6 person spa/hot tub, fruit trees, palm trees, lush landscaping, a large covered patio, and a pool-side dining area. Just picture yourselves sitting out by the pool, sipping your morning coffee or a cool drink, or enjoying breakfast or dinner while gazing at the San Jacinto mountains. There are no power lines or houses to spoil your views.
The home, which sleeps 6, has an open floor plan. Abundant panels of glass in every room lend an indoor/outdoor feel throughout. There?s a lot of cheerful sunny light, yet the patio and roof overhangs protect you from direct summer heat.
As soon as you walk through the front door you?ll notice the attractive blue-grey slate flooring throughout, as well as tasteful modern furnishings.
The modern stainless steel kitchen is a joy to cook and entertain in. It is well-appointed and fully equipped with gas range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven, juicer, blender, refrigerator/freezer, large pantry, plentiful dishes, pots/pans and spices. A pass-through window serves the outdoor bar.
The master bedroom suite features a king-sized bed, large vintage dresser, two night-stands, a flat screen HDTV with satellite TV and a DVD player, a ceiling fan/light over the bed, a walk-in closet, a separate reading area with a love seat and a bookcase with hundreds of books, and a bathroom with shower, 2 sinks and toilet.
The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has a queen bed. (The bed sizes can be changed if necessary.) All bedrooms have private patios.
The second bath has a large bathtub, shower, separate toilet room and 2 sinks. There?s an adjacent laundry room with washer and dryer. The third bath is a half-bath with toilet and sink.
There?s also a den which can be used as an office.
The living room has a 42 inch plasma TV with DVD player and satellite TV.
The home is fully air-conditioned throughout and has cathedral ceilings which give a very spacious feeling.
A modern security system/alarm covers all rooms and is hooked up to police and fire.
