This Charming Unique-yet Modern Mid Century home has been decorated and designed by a designer from the world's most respected design firm. The home has been decorated with many mid century classics without sacrificing any comfort. The property is completely private and is close to beautiful hiking and walking trails, golf courses and the great shopping on El Paseo. The minute you open the front gates you will feel you have entered your own private Shangri La. The grounds are covered in a combination of native succulents and fruiting/flowering trees and shrubs. The Great Room opens onto a sparkling swimming pool and Jacuzzi, Heated in winter and is surrounded by a lawn. The pool is a traditional rectangular shape and has a deep end for those that want to dive into the crystal clear waters. The Jacuzzi will easily accommodate six people and is heated as well. Upon entering the home you will find a large high ceiling Great Room that consists of several areas for entertaining. On your left is a granite top bar with guest seating, bar sink and wine chiller. On your right is the living area which has been furnished with a Pfister sofa and two lounge chairs bounded by a pair of Florence Knoll marble side tables with Blenko glass reading lamps, Gae Aulenti marble coffee table, Mies chaise and Arco floor lamp. Across from the living area is a more formal dining area furnished with a B&B Italia cherry wood credenza, Saarinen dining table and four Mies flat bar Brno chairs covered in leather. The media room which is adjacent to the Great Room features a large sectional sofa with Florence Knoll coffee table, Bisazza murano glass tile fireplace with gas logs, HDTV television with cable, stereo receiver, speakers, VCR and DVD player. This room can also double (if needed) as a third bedroom consisting of a queen size bed. There is a covered Patio off of the Great room for morning coffee with complete privacy and majestic mountain views. In the master suite you will find a large soaking tub for those that want to read a book or just relax in the quiet waters and view of the cactus garden. The master with its en suite bathroom is furnished with a California King bed, travertine side tables with lamps and clock radio, womb lounge chair with ottoman, traditional English make up table and armoire, pair of Maya Lin "stones" ottomans and a large mirrored closet. The second bedroom directly adjacent to the main bath is furnished with a Queen bed, B&B Italia headboard with rotating night stand tops with bedside lamps and clock radio, desk with high speed internet access (just plug in your own laptop), large overstuffed lounge chair, floor lamp and a bookshelf with a range of reading materials. The kitchen and breakfast room are outfitted with all the amenities of a modern home. The kitchen consists of a large capacity refrigerator with built in icemaker, Fisher Paykel two drawer dishwasher, double sink with disposal, double wall oven, gas cook top with hood and microwave oven. The breakfast area has views of the pool and has seating for four at a mosaic top table with four Handkerchief chairs. A laundry room and third bathroom is directly adjacent. Rental Policies
We prefer minimum of one week rentals but will do shorter breaks at a slightly higher rate. We try to be flexible and will try to work with you within reason. The Base Price includes heated Jacuzzi at 100 degrees (can be adjusted)....Just ask..Usually by late March it is very warm in the Pool. If you are a visitor in the winter months and prefer the Pool heated there is an additional fee of $25 a day which allows you to heat the pool to your desired temperature and swim day or night. People from back east have found it warm enough all winter but west coast people like the additional heat. A deposit of $300 is required at time of booking. Full Payment is due in Full 30 days prior to arrival. Sorry no exceptions. All deposits are refundable within 14 days if the home and utilities and telephone service have not been abused. The Final clean fee is $150 up to 6 guests. More than 6 guests the fee is $200.
