Rent a 2 bedroom Condo at one of the 4 Marriott Time Shares in the Palm Desert area.
The condos sleep 8 because the couch opens into a queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a couch that opens into a queen bed. You would have full use of all of the Marriott facilities in the Palm Desert area.
