Our review of this vacation rental: 1 out of 5 stars.
We were disappointed the moment we walked into the backyard. The area was cluttered, disorderly, parts of the main house (right by the pool) were under construction, the pool was filthy as was the outdoor dining area. In short, the rental was a mess. Nothing like we were led to expect based on the pictures and description posted in the owner's craigslist ad.
Key "deposit" required but don't plan on getting it back. No "check-out" instructions are provided except for the check-out time. When we left the rental unit the owner withheld the key deposit, insisting that the "place was not left as we found it". He apparently expected us to clean the rental before leaving, e.g. taking out the garbage, running the dishwasher, putting away the dishes, etc. Not what you'd expect from a vacation rental.
There isn't a great deal of privacy. The pool area is shared with the owner in very close quarters to his home and open windows. Conversations should not be considered private. (If you are looking for a romantic get-away, this is NOT the place for you....)
