I booked two nights advance purchase at the Hilton Garden Inn for Wednesday, July 8th and Thursday, July 9th (checking out on the 10th).
The next day my wife's parents gave us resort credit for our 10th Anniversary, but I can't cancel the reservation at the Hilton or get a refund. But I can attach someone else's name to the reservation and let you stay there if you wish. It's a standard room with complimentary wi-fi and will be perfectly fine for someone looking for a couple nights away at a cheap rate.
Of course, you're on your own for any incidentals you might incur, but this is the price we paid after taxes. No resort fees. We would have to rendezvous in the Palm Springs area on Wednesday, July 8th (maybe at Cabazon Outlet Mall) to do the exchange because we're coming from out of town. Cash only.
